A powerful tool, the Double Barb Makau was the hook of choice for Kauai fishermen. Inspired by an ancient Hawaiian fish hook found in the Bishop Museum archives, the pendant is a symbol of fortitude -- it means "you can."
Genuine Tahitian black pearls is of the highest quality (AAA-grade, with beautiful luster and color, and smooth, silky skin).

After admiring Keoni’s works of art in his jewelry creations and carvings over the years, and appreciating the passion and spirit of Aloha he instills in his work and life, I felt his work creations would make the perfect gifts to celebrate the 20th wedding anniversary of my wife and I as we were married in Hawaii. We were not disappointed. Keoni created a beautiful sterling silver double barb fish hook with a radiant Tahitian pearl for my wife, who reports many wonderful compliments from others. Keoni created a beautiful tattooed sterling silver double barb fish hook for me. Exceptional quality of work. And it was an absolute pleasure experiencing the wonderful service and aloha provided by Heather from start to finish. Mahalo Keoni and Heather.

I wanted a special piece of jewelry for my son who had just gotten married and also accomplished a huge personal goal. I ordered the Double Barb Tahitian Pearl Pendant. Through several e-mails regarding color of pearl to length of leather cord and delivery, Keoni and Heather ensured that I got exactly what I wanted. When I gave it to my son, he was blown away. From the color of the pearl to the craftsmanship...this was a labor of love. Keoni and Heather really care about what they are doing and cared that I got exactly what I had envisioned.I could not have been more pleased.
Much, Much Mahalo

What an awesome piece of jewelry I received while on vacation for Thanksgiving with family in MA. When I returned home to NY my package was awaiting me. I have what I wanted--a special piece of jewelry from the island of Kauai, a special place in my heart for many years. I keep remembering the good times I had there and want to return to Hanalei Bay, as I always spent time there with my former lover who passed away 11yrs ago. Keoni and Heather went out of their way via e-mails and a long chat on the phone, too. They made sure this was just right for me and it exceeds beyond words to describe how I felt the day I opened the package. It truly is a piece of art, handmade from the Island of Kauai. I will keep coming back for more. Thank you so much.

I feel so special whenever I am wearing my beautiful pearl hook. Keoni and Heather went out of their way to make sure I had a perfect pendant. Their combined talents, warmth and sincerity means so much. I now own a unique piece from a unique couple. How lucky that I found them.

...but more importantly I love him and his wife for who they are: of the earth, honest, caring, very spiritual...you walk away from them feeling good. My husband purchased a mother of pearl hook and loves it. On our last trip to Hawaii, he purchased the double barb with pearl for me, and a tattoo hook for our son as a Christmas gift. Then Keoni showed us some new earrings he'd made -- a paddle boarder -- so dang cute, I love them, and had to have them. Keoni puts a lot of himself into his jewelry, and you can see and feel it.

Awesome fish hook pendant with the nicest pearl I have seen. Heather is great to work with and Keoni's workmanship is impeccable!

No inanimate object has ever made me cry...until I happened on Keoni's pendants in the almost deserted farmers' market in late July. This pendant comforts me, makes me feel powerful...a sword and a shield. It brings me back to that wonderful first trip to Hawaii and meeting the beautiful couple: Keoni and Heather.

We go to Hawaii every year. Stay in Kapa'a, Kauai. Went to a small market event down the street and stumbled upon a booth that had the most beautiful pendants I have ever seen. They were very exciting to talk to about their work. I didn't buy at that time, but all week I couldn't stop thinking about them. So the next Sunday we drove back to purchase one. I was so happy about the purchase and the care Keoni and Heather took in customizing it to fit. I love my pendant and now I can tell everyone in California about this website.
